Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter — "Policy") describes the procedure for collecting, storing, using and disclosing information regarding Users of the "Transliterator" software (hereinafter — "Application"), available in the form of a web version, Windows application, Android application (APK) and lightweight version.

Effective date: January 12, 2026.

Application creation year: 2018.

1. Basic provisions

1.1. Administration — developer and copyright holder of the Application.

1.2. By using the Application, the User confirms familiarization and agreement with this Policy.

1.3. The Policy is governed in accordance with the current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. What data is collected

2.1. The Application does not collect and does not transmit to the Administration's servers or third parties the texts that the User processes using transliteration. All transliteration operations are performed locally (in the browser or on the User's device).

2.2. The Android version may store the history of transliterations exclusively locally on the User's device. The history is available only on the device and can be deleted manually by the "Clear history" button.

2.3. The web version and lightweight version of the Application do not save transliteration history.

2.4. The Application does not require registration, logins, passwords, email addresses (except in cases where the User decides to contact the Administration via e-mail) and does not collect personal data.

3. Purposes of data processing

3.1. Since texts are processed locally and are not transmitted to third parties, the purposes of processing are exclusively: performing the transliteration function and (in the Android version) temporary storage of history for the User's convenience.

4. Transfer of data to third parties

4.1. The Administration does not transfer texts or personal data to third parties. Any actions related to data transfer are possible only with the explicit and voluntary consent of the User (for example, if the User manually sends text or a screenshot via email).

5. Storage and deletion of data

5.1. The web version and lightweight version do not save the User's text data on the server side.

5.2. The Android version stores history locally until the User uses the "Clear history" function or deletes the application/data of the application on the device.

5.3. The User is responsible for the security of their device and for backing up/deleting local data if required.

6. Security

6.1. The Administration takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect locally stored data within the capabilities of the platform, but cannot guarantee absolute security in case of compromise of the User's device.

6.2. The User undertakes not to transfer their account information (if any appears) to third parties and to monitor the security of their device.

7. Cookies and other technologies

7.1. The web version may use minimal browser mechanisms (for example, localStorage) exclusively for correct interface operation. This data is stored in the User's browser and is not transmitted to the server.

8. Children and minors

8.1. The Application is not specifically intended for children under 13 years old. If a minor uses the Application, this should happen only with the consent of parents or legal representatives. The Application does not collect personal data of children.

9. Jurisdiction and responsibility

9.1. The Administration is not responsible for the content of texts entered by the User and for the consequences of their use by third parties.

9.2. The Policy does not limit or eliminate the legal responsibility of the Administration within the scope established by the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

10. Changes to the Policy

10.1. The Administration reserves the right to make changes to this Policy. Changes take effect from the moment of their publication. Continued use of the Application means the User's agreement with the new version of the Policy.

11. Information about development and dedications

11.1. The Application was developed by the Administration and released in 2018. Since 2025, it is dedicated to the memory of teacher Muratkanova Amina Erzatkyzy.

13. Final provisions

13.1. This Policy comes into force on the date specified at the beginning of the document and remains in effect until its replacement with a new version.

13.2. If individual provisions of the Policy are recognized as invalid, this does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
